Interpreters, beware!

Agencies are making offers of work at the European Parliament for the week of 11th July 2022. This offer may be an attempt to undermine legitimate industrial action by interpreters at the EP.

Please consider carefully whether you want to accept a contract under these conditions.

The European Parliament has a collective agreement with AIIC (acting on behalf of member and non-member interpreters) which  this recruitment is in breach of.

Agreements on working conditions at international institutions which AIIC negotiates for member and non-member interpreters are an industry benchmark. To undermine them is to undermine the whole market.

Please think about the long term.
