This course is accessible for anyone new to mindfulness. For conference interpreters who are so often rushing between assignments and other to-dos in life, mindfulness offers a way to take care of our mental health and reconnect with the inner source of gentle resilience.
In 3 weeks, 1 hour per week, the group will come together to explore some key mindfulness themes and practices. Hopefully, in time, this could enable you to live with more kindness, spaciousness and ease.
The key learnings:
- Recognizing the mind’s natural tendency to be scattered. How we can train attention to be intentional and kind
- Exploring different ways of being and knowing. How we can learn to use them to help us flourish over time
- Recognizing the difference between reacting and responding. Developing ways to create the space for skillful response
Structure of each session:
- Guided mindfulness practice
- Voluntary short discussion on the practice and home practices
- Short presentation on the session topic for each week
Participants will be invited to do 10 to 15 minutes of home practices every day. Guided recordings will be provided.
Planned dates: 16th, 23rd and 29th May, 18:30 to 19:30.
Costs: EUR 65. For members of AIIC and VKD: EUR 55.
